OUR BOARD OF ADVISORS

The Campbell County Education Foundation is led by a volunteer Board of Advisors made up of local business, community, and education leaders who share a deep commitment to strengthening public education and supporting student success. Their guidance drives the Foundation’s mission through strategic decision-making, active fundraising, and engagement efforts that create meaningful opportunities for students and educators across the district.



Geoff Besecker - Board President

Geoff Besecker is a long time resident of Grant’s Lick and a dedicated community servant with over 30 years of service.
He and his wife Toni, a retired educator of 31 years at Grant’s Lick Elementary, have four sons who all graduated from Campbell County Schools.

Geoff holds a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and a master’s from Northern Kentucky University. He recently retired after 28 years as a National Board Certified educator at Campbell County High School, where he also coached varsity baseball, served on the Site-Based Council, Social Studies department chair, and led numerous student and community initiatives.

His leadership extended into the broader community through programs like the "Crosstown Food-out," which collected over 20 tons of food, and his 15-year direction of the county youth basketball program. He was named Veterans of Foreign Wars Kentucky State Teacher of the Year, President of Teacher Leadership NKY, and received the KY National Guard American Patriot Award for his support of veterans and military families.

Geoff serves as a deacon at Main Street Baptist Church, is an associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police, and a past member of the CARE Mission Board. He currently leads the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership NKY Class of 2025.

Elected Campbell County Commissioner in 2018, Geoff focuses on economic growth, public safety, expanded park access, and county-wide internet access. He remains deeply committed to building a stronger, more connected future for all Campbell County residents.

In his spare time, Geoff enjoys camping, gardening, reading and spending time with his family.

Brian Sauerbeck - Board Vice President

Brian Sauerbeck is a dedicated educator and a proud 2008 graduate of Campbell County High School, later inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

He earned his Bachelor's degree in English Education from Morehead State University, where he also played collegiate football. Brian holds two advanced degrees from the University of the Cumberlands: a Master’s in Teacher Leadership and an Education Specialist degree, further equipping him to lead and support meaningful growth in schools. 

He began his teaching career at Bellevue Independent High School before returning home to CCHS, where he taught English language arts for 11 years. During that time, he served as department chair and instructional lead, helping guide curriculum alignment, instructional coaching, and professional development initiatives. He was also a member of the SBDM Council, the school safety team, and the staff advisory committee. In 2025, Brian was named assistant principal at CCHS, where he continues to support students, staff, and the greater school community. 

Alongside his work in the classroom, Brian coached varsity football for over a decade at Pendleton County, Bellevue, and CCHS. While he no longer coaches at the high school level, he continues to invest in the community by coaching his sons’ youth football, basketball, and baseball teams. 

Passionate about public education, student achievement, and leadership development, Brian brings energy and experience to his role on the education foundation board. He lives in Alexandria, KY, with his wife and three children.


Toni McKee - Board Secretary

Toni McKee is a proud 1997 graduate of Campbell County High School (CCHS), where she was deeply involved in both academics and athletics.

As a student, she was active in Beta Club, National Honor Society, Pep Club, and excelled in track, basketball, and cross country—building the foundation for a lifelong commitment to education, service, and school spirit.

Following graduation, Toni attended Northern Kentucky University, where she continued her athletic pursuits as a member of the cross country team. During her time at NKU, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education and later a Master of Arts in Education. Driven by a passion for literacy and learning, she continued her education at the University of Kentucky, where she completed a Master of Science in Library Information Science.

Toni dedicated over two decades to classroom teaching, inspiring students as a high school English teacher for 22 years—18 of which were spent at her alma mater, CCHS. In 2023, she transitioned into the role of Library Media Specialist at Campbell County High School, where she now blends her love of literature, technology, and student engagement in a dynamic and evolving educational setting. In her new role, she is especially proud to give back to the school that helped shape her journey.

In addition to her teaching and library leadership, Toni has been a dedicated coach of the CCHS track and cross country teams since 2005, mentoring countless student-athletes along the way.

Toni lives in Alexandria with her husband and children, all of whom have proudly attended Campbell County schools—from Grant’s Lick Elementary to CCHS—continuing the family’s strong Camel tradition.

Steve Morris - Board Member

Steve Morris is a proud 1971 graduate of Campbell County High School (CCHS), where he distinguished himself as a three-sport athlete, excelling in football, baseball, and basketball. His outstanding achievements in athletics earned him induction into the CCHS Hall of Fame—a reflection of his dedication, talent, and leadership both on and off the field.

Following high school, Steve was awarded a baseball scholarship to Northern Kentucky University (NKU), where he continued his athletic career as a collegiate baseball player. At NKU, he earned a degree in Business, laying the foundation for his future success in the professional world.

Steve built a thriving career in real estate development and sales, becoming a respected figure in the Northern Kentucky business community. His work in the industry has been marked by integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to community growth.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Steve remained deeply engaged in local education and youth development. He served as a member of the Campbell County Board of Education, where he worked to support students, educators, and the broader school community. His passion for athletics and education led to his recognition as a member of the Northern Kentucky Athletic Directors Hall of Fame—another testament to his enduring leadership and continued impact on youth sports and regional development.

Steve Morris’s legacy is defined by his excellence in athletics, business, and civic service, as well as his lifelong dedication to Campbell County and Northern Kentucky.

Gina Rittinger - Board Member

Gina Rittinger is a founding board member of the Campbell County Education Foundation (CCEF) and a proud 1994 graduate of Campbell County High School.

She serves as Vice President of Strategic Growth at REDI Cincinnati, where she leads regional economic development strategy for the 15-county Cincinnati MSA. A passionate advocate for the region, Gina champions Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky as a premier destination for business relocation, expansion, and investment. She crosses the river daily—both for work and for play—bringing a unified regional perspective to every initiative. Gina earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Northern Kentucky University as a first-generation, non-traditional student. As the first in her family to graduate from college, she deeply understands the transformative power of education and the critical need for support systems that ensure student success.

In addition to her work with REDI and CCEF, Gina chairs the Board of Directors for the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK) and serves on the Northern Kentucky University Alumni Board, where she co-chairs the Prospective Students Task Force.

Outside of her professional roles, Gina is a proud mother to two sons, Josh (Class of 2022) and Noah (Class of 2024), both Campbell County High School graduates. She continues to give back to NKU as a student mentor and guest lecturer whenever invited.

Tracy Smith - Board Member

Tracy Smith, a lifelong resident of Campbell County is a dedicated community leader and practicing attorney with Morgan Smith Porter.

A proud graduate of Campbell County High School, she continued her education at Xavier University and earned her law degree from Chase College of Law. Tracy brings both professional expertise and a deep commitment to education and civic engagement to her role on the Campbell County Education Foundation Board. In addition to this role, she also serves as President of the Campbell County Public Library Board and is a member of the Board of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association. Tracy lives in Alexandria with her husband, Jeff, and is the proud mother of two children—Natalie and Nate. Her strong ties to the Campbell County community and passion for public service make her a valuable asset to the Foundation and its mission of supporting educational excellence.

Bill Voelker - Board Member

Bill Voelker is a lifelong resident of Campbell County and has dedicated his professional career to serving the community.
Bill Voelker is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He went on to receive a Master of Education from the University of Cincinnati and later achieved Rank I certification from Xavier University.

He began his professional career with the Kentucky Department of Revenue, serving for one year before dedicating 34 years to Campbell County Schools in a variety of administrative roles. He continued his service in education with Dayton Independent Schools for an additional 10 years.

Bill has been married to Pamela Voelker for 54 years. Together, they raised three children, all proud graduates of Campbell County High School. Their son, Brandon, is an attorney with Gatlin Voelker Law Firm. Their daughter, Abigail, serves as a judge in Kentucky’s 17th Circuit Family Court Division. Their late daughter, Kerrie, was a dedicated language and speech pathologist with Campbell County Schools.

Bill and Pam are the proud grandparents of six grandchildren, ranging in age from 6 to 23.

Dr. Shelli Wilson - ex officio member

Dr. Shelli Wilson serves as Superintendent of Campbell County Schools, bringing over three decades of educational leadership to the role.

Known for her collaborative leadership and deep commitment to student success, Dr. Wilson has dedicated her career to improving academic achievement, expanding career pathways, and strengthening partnerships between schools and the broader community.

Before assuming the superintendency, Dr. Wilson served as Associate Superintendent of Campbell County Schools for 17 years, where she led district-wide initiatives in curriculum and instruction, professional development, capital construction, and financial operations. Her leadership helped elevate the district performance to top 10% of Kentucky public school districts.

Dr. Wilson’s roles have included principal, assistant principal, and teacher. She has presented at national and international education reform forums in Finland and China, led accreditation reviews throughout the nation and Kentucky, and served on multiple state-level leadership committees.

She holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Kentucky, as well as certifications in instructional leadership, special education, and superintendent administration. Among her accomplishments, Dr. Wilson has overseen major construction projects, co-authored successful competitive grants totaling over $17 million, and launched innovative programs such as the Resiliency Poll and Profile of a Graduate. Her awards include the A.D. Albright Administrator of the Year, Outstanding Women of Northern Kentucky, Champion for Education Vision 2015 and the Spirit of the Northern Kentucky Region Award.

She is proud to live in Alexandria, with her spouse, Robert Wilson. Together, they raised two children who are proud Campbell County Alumni. Dr. Wilson is proud to lead Campbell County Schools and support the mission of the Campbell County Education Foundation.
