Programs Supporting Teachers

Educational Mini Grants
Educational Mini Grants are a favorite among Cumberland County teachers with the Foundation awarding approximately $25,000 annually.  The program provides merit grants of up to $1,500 for teachers who have developed innovative classroom programs using special equipment, manipulatives, or creative instructional materials.

CCEF Science, Math and Engineering Explorations Grant
This grant awards $10,000 yearly and seeks to encourage the development of programs that will inspire, excite and motivate middle and high school students to explore the fields of science, math and engineering.

Teacher of the Year
CCEF proudly sponsors this prestigious event that honors CCS’ Teacher of the Year and also recognizes the district winners from each of the ten attendance areas throughout the county. The winner receives over $5,000 in cash and prizes from community sponsors.  The Teacher of the Year may also go on to compete at the regional, state and national competitions.
